PADI Sidemount Diver with Crystal Divers

Originally designed by technical cave divers, sidemount diving is becoming more popular for the recreational diver looking to challenge themselves and learn a new skill set and use some different styles of equipment. Sidemount diving is a great way to fine tune that important attribute of any good diver – trim and streamlining.

Maybe you like to take photos or videos? Do you and the traditional back mount system gives you back ache? But the best part about the course is getting to grips with a new more “technically minded” way of diving. 

You will learn about the set up and configuration of sidemount equipment, gas management including gas switching and out of air procedures. You will work on advanced buoyancy and finning techniques and how to remove and replace the cylinders underwater. This course is a great introduction to anyone thinking about the tech diving route and can be perfectly combined with Self Reliant Diver.
